Terms of service

Draft. These terms are a plain-language starting point and have not been reviewed by a lawyer. They must be reviewed before Glitter Gold Tag handles real money on Mainnet.

1. What we provide

Glitter Gold Tag is a naming and lookup service. A Glitter Tag is a record, signed by you, that lists your addresses and their destination tags or memos. We publish it so wallets and people can find it.

2. What we don't do

We are not a wallet, exchange, bank or money transmitter. We never hold, send or receive funds for you, and we never hold your keys. Payments go directly between the sender's wallet and yours.

3. Your responsibilities

  • You keep your owner wallet and its recovery phrase safe. We can't recover or reset it.
  • You make sure the addresses, destination tags and memos you add are correct and yours to use.
  • You don't register names to impersonate someone, mislead people or infringe trademarks.

4. Senders

Anyone sending to a Glitter Tag should check the display name and details before confirming. Blockchain payments generally can't be reversed.

5. Plans, trials and renewals

Each name includes a 7-day free trial (one per owner). After a trial or plan ends, the name stops answering and is held for the owner for 90 days, after which it may be registered by someone else. Prices are listed on the pricing page and are paid in XRP, RLUSD or USDC on Solana. A plan starts once the full payment has arrived on the ledger. The XRP amount is based on the XRP price when the order is made.

6. Names we may hold or remove

We reserve names of well-known companies, exchanges and wallets for their owners, and may suspend names used for fraud, impersonation or illegal activity.

7. No warranty; limits of liability

The service is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses from incorrect details entered by owners, mistakes by senders, wallet software, or blockchain networks.

8. Changes

We may update these terms and will post the date of the latest version here.
