How it works

Set it once. Forget it.

A Glitter Tag is a small record, signed by your wallet, that says which address and which destination tag or memo to use for each chain. Here's the whole journey.

For you, the owner

1

Search a name

Look up @yourname. If it's free, start the 7-day trial.

2

Connect a wallet

Xaman can't sign messages yet, so use GemWallet, MetaMask or Freighter. This wallet "owns" the name.

3

Add addresses

Paste your XRP, Stellar and 0x addresses, each with its tag or memo. Name them, like "Tommy's Coinbase".

4

Sign and share

Your wallet signs a plain-English summary. That's free and isn't a payment. Then share your name or card.

For the person paying you

They type @yourname

In a wallet or exchange that supports Glitter Tags, or they open your card link and scan the QR code.

Their wallet checks it

The wallet asks our registry for your record and checks your signature on their own device. A fake or changed record is refused.

Address and tag fill in

The right address for the coin being sent, plus the tag or memo. They see your display name and wallet name before they confirm.

What's inside a Glitter Tag

A signed note, not a wallet

Every Glitter Tag is a small "bundle" of facts. Your wallet signs it, so nobody else, including us, can change it. Here's what your wallet is asked to sign:

Glitter Gold Tag bundle v1
network: mainnet
handle: tommy-xrp
sequence: 3
xrpl: rN7n7otQDd6FczFgLdSqtcsAUxDkw6fzRH tag 198425
stellar: GCEZWKCA5VLDNRLN3RPRJMRZOX3Z6G5CHCGSNFHEYVXM3XOJMDS674JZ
digest: 9f2c…

The real addresses are right there in the text, so you can see exactly what you're approving.

Safety built in

Mistakes caught early

Tag required? We check.

We look at the ledger. If your address demands a destination tag or memo and you left it out, we stop you.

24-hour cooling-off

Changes to where money goes wait 24 hours, and the card shows a warning meanwhile. You can cancel a change you didn't make.

No look-alikes

@t0mmy can't sit next to @tommy. Names that look the same belong to one person.

Older versions refused

Each change gets a higher number, and wallets refuse an older record served later.

Name formats

You typeWhat it means
@tommymidnightYour main name. Answers for every chain you've added.
@tommy-xrpAn extra name for one wallet. Only the owner of @tommy can create labels.
tommy-coinbaseSame as @tommy-coinbase. The @ is optional.
tommy.xrpNot available. Glitter Tags never have dots.
