What's public

A Glitter Tag is meant to be found. Your handle, display name, wallet names, addresses, destination tags and memos are public, because that's how people pay you. Don't put anything in them you wouldn't put on a business card.

Remember that blockchain addresses are public too: anyone who knows your address can see its transaction history on the ledger.

What we keep

  • Your signed Glitter Tag records and their past versions (so changes can be audited).
  • Your plan and its dates.
  • Checkout orders: the Glitter Tag, plan, price, coin, and the public transaction that paid it (kept for bookkeeping and taxes).
  • For verified businesses, the information used to verify you.

What we don't collect

  • No keys, recovery phrases or passwords, ever.
  • No email address is required to sign up.
  • No advertising trackers. The site sets no tracking cookies.

Service providers

The site and registry run on Cloudflare, which processes standard request information (like IP addresses) to deliver and protect the service. The sign-up page loads wallet connection code from esm.sh when you choose GemWallet or Freighter.

Removing a Glitter Tag

You can change or replace your addresses any time by signing an update. To stop using a Glitter Tag, let its plan end and it stops answering. Past versions may be kept for security records.
